The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) places Buenos Aires in pole position in its annual ranking as the American city hosting the greatest number of congresses, beating Montreal, Toronto, Lima and Mexico City, while slipping into 11th place on the world ranking. This is a clear indicator of the high caliber of its facilities and services, visible in the commitment to quality shown by both the Buenos Aires Tourism Office and the Buenos Aires Convention & Visitors Bureau (BAC&VB).
The City hosts international events year-round, ranging from rock concerts, dance and opera festivals, to medical and pharmaceuticals conferences, academic lectures, sporting events and international art fairs, in addition to hundreds of industrial congresses and exhibitions, such as Argentina Oil & Gas, Automechanika, or the ICCA Congress Argentina, for instance.
